Catherine is a Storyteller & Strategist
Hi! I’m Catherine and I write and produce for the screen, page, and stage.
Catherine Wigginton Greene is a writer, educator, and filmmaker committed to strengthening human connection through various platforms & media.
Catherine is the founder and president of CW Creative Collective LLC, a boutique creative consulting agency. She is a screenwriter, author, and documentary filmmaker whose work thoughtfully explores the complexities of race, identity, and dialogue. Known for her ability to navigate emotionally charged topics with clarity, courage, and compassion, she partners with educators, artists, institutions, and organizations to create media and learning experiences that inspire dialogue, reflection, and connection. Whether speaking to students, corporate leaders, or community advocates, Catherine brings humor, humility, and deep curiosity to every room—leaving audiences both challenged and uplifted.
Based in Washington, DC, Catherine is pursuing her doctorate at The George Washington University, where her research focuses on emotion and difficult dialogue. She is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and continually finds inspiration in books, podcasts, and films. CW Creative Collective’s latest project is the feature documentary Good People, in collaboration with Catherine’s filmmaking partner André Robert Lee.
Good People embarks on a search to (re)discover our nation’s collective humanity within the connective tissue of communities across the United States.
MY PHILOSOPHY
“The question driving all of my creative work at this current social and political moment is:
How will we find our way back to one another?”

WHAT CLIENTS ARE SAYING
“Catherine is brilliant, creative, and a powerful gift for those looking to deepen their understanding of race and identity in the U.S. She’s a multi-talented and dynamic woman. As an educator and facilitator, she’s profoundly engaging. Her ability to help people connect the dots between their own awareness and experiences and the broader society have led her to be a powerful force of our time.”
“Catherine did SUCH an amazing job as our facilitator. She made for such a safe environment that I think our entire cohort felt comfortable being vulnerable. She also allowed us to take the conversations in whatever direction felt most natural, while also effortlessly tying it all back to what we were learning.”
“Catherine is awesome! She brings a strong sense of compassion and understanding that’s disarming and comforting at the same time.”
“Catherine and [her filmmaking partner] André led these sessions in a way that allowed attendees to work through their own strengths and weaknesses in addressing these issues while making them feel empowered to help others do the same.”

Our Latest Project
Americans are feeling more hopeless and helpless than ever. We're disconnected and lonely. We argue with strangers online while cutting off contact with family members and friends in real life. At the same time, we're overwhelmed by massive challenges — recession, crime, war, immigration, climate change, and more. The problems feel too big, the country too divided, leaving so many of us wondering: What are we to do?
Social scientists, health experts, and activists alike have an answer: Find Purpose + Take Action + Do It In Community.
Across the country, people are doing exactly this. Whether they're setting up food delivery networks to ensure schoolchildren don't go hungry, organizing medical transportation services for veterans and the elderly, or forming bipartisan coalitions to prevent community violence, American citizens are finding a way to transcend social identity and political ideology to show up for one another in meaningful ways.
Good People will tell their stories.
